Something made me think today (dangerous I know! 😂). People often say to me ‘you must have a steady hand’ and I always think, if only they knew... We signwriters are always fighting the elements, but it’s not only about wrapping up against the cold. In the past few years I have variously painted signs whilst, grieving for loved ones, shaking with anger, or at times laughing hysterically - all of which take a toll on that steady hand! But then, when I look back at signs I have worked on, each one stirs a memory, not just of the job itself and the people involved, but also my thoughts and feelings of what was happening in my life at the time.
And this is what you get when you invest in something hand made, a little bit of us, the makers, and a lasting connection.
